Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin was a part of the Indian team in their recently concluded Test series against the West Indies. India defeated the hosts, winning the first Test and drawing the second to take the two-match series 1-0.
Meanwhile, just days after playing for the Indian Test side, the 36-year-old Ashwin took part in Division 1 of the TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association). On Thursday, August 3, Ashwin represented Mylapore Recreation Club A against Youngstars Cricket Club in a Division 1 match of the TNCA.
His dedication to the sport led many to commend his determination and discipline. It is worth noting that Ashwin has been playing non-stop cricket since the start of 2023. He competed for India in the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, followed by the Indian Premier League and then the West Indies series as well.

Ravichandran Ashwin wreaked havoc against West Indies
Talking of Ashwin’s recent performances, the 36-year-old breathed fire against the West Indies. Ashwin’s performance was crucial for India in winning the first Test of the series. Taking a fifer in the first innings, the 36-year-old followed it up by bowling a brilliant spell in the second innings. Ashwin bowled 21.3 overs in the second innings and took seven wickets to secure the win for the visitors. Furthermore, Ashwin took three wickets across the two innings in the second Test. However, as rain played spoilsport, the second Test was drawn and the Indian team had to contend with a 1-0 win.
