Star India all rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been making headlines after his father Anirudh Singh Jadeja’s recent interview where he made several allegations against him. Notably, Jadeja’s father had revealed that he shares a cold relationship with his son particularly after his marriage with wife Rivaba Jadeja. Jadeja was quick to respond to the allegations and urged his fans to not believe on such statements calling the interview ‘scripted’.
Recently, Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba , who's also a BJP MLA, was also asked about her tumultuous relationship with her father-in-law. Upon hearing the question, the cricketer’s wife immediately fumed at the reporter and asked him to not ask about personal matters in public.
"Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know about it,” can be heard saying in the viral video.
Notably, Anirudh Singh Jadeja now lives away from his son in a 2 BHK flat and survives on ₹20,000 pension of his wife. In the controversial interview, Anirudh revealed that ever since Jadeja got married to Rivaba, there have been problems in their family.
" I have no relation of any kind with Ravi (Ravindra Jadeja) or his wife Rivaba Jadeja. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. I manage my expenses from the ₹20,000 pension of my wife. I live alone in a 2BHK flat. Even in my 2BHK flat, there is still a separate room for Ravindra. We have worked very hard to make Ravindra a cricketer. I used to carry 20-litre milk cans on my shoulder to earn money. I have even worked as a watchman. We come from a humble background. His sister has done even more than me. She took care of him as a mother. However, he hasn't kept any relations with his sister either,” Anirudh had said in the interview.
Following his father’s allegations, Jadeja swiftly responded with a statement through his social media handles and called the interview an attempt to tarnish his wife’s image.

Let's ignore what's said in scripted interviews: Ravindra Jadeja
"Let's ignore what's said in scripted interviews. Everything said in the nonsense interview recently published by Divyabhaskar is totally false and untrue. It is a one-sided story. I completely reject it. I strongly condemn the actions taken to malign my wife's image. I also have many things to say; it's better that I don't make them public,” wrote Jadeja on his X account.
Meanwhile, on the cricketing front, Jadeja has marked his return to the Indian squad for the remaining three Tests against England after missing the second game due to a hamstring injury. However, his participation in the third Test beginning from February 15 in Rajkot will be subject to him clearing the fitness Test.
