The Champions Trophy is set to begin and there is already a lot of drama surrounding the ICC event that is set to take place in Pakistan and UAE. The final squads have been announced and there is already a lot of talk going around the teams and the venues that are hosting the tournament.

The BCCI has been making a lot of rules ahead of the event and it turns out that this tournament will not be featuring the Indian players' wives and families since the tournament duration will be just over three weeks according to reports. According to the new policy by the board, the families can be with the players for a maximum of two weeks on a tour that goes on for 45 days or more.

“If anything changes then it is different but as of now, the players are unlikely to be accompanied by their wives or partners for this tour. One of the senior players had enquired about it and he was told that the policy decision will be followed," a BCCI source said as quoted by NDTV Sports.

“Since the tour is of less than one month, families won't be accompanying the players. But if exceptions are made, I think that individual will have to bear the full expenses as BCCI won't be covering any cost,” The source added.
