Team India has been witnessing a dark time, as the side is currently trailing in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 by a 1-2 margin. Now, recent reports have emerged saying that the on-field performances are also being reflected off the field. The reports have said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been disappointed with the behaviour of one of its members of the support staff.

It is further reported that the support staff member, who is headed by Gautam Gambhir, gets accompanied by one of his personal assistants while on national duty, and the board hasn't been amused with the move.

“It is learnt that the person in question used to have FOP (Field Of Play) access during the IPL, where he would stride into the playing arena after games in a franchise jersey. In Australia, his presence in the box dedicated to BCCI members hasn't been appreciated, according to a top source,” revealed the report as quoted by NDTV.

Whatever happens in the dressing room, should stay in the dressing room: Irfan Pathan

Former India cricketers, Irfan Pathan and WV Raman have also expressed their displeasure on the dressing room that is currently reported to be happening within the Indian team. Pathan, taking to microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), has opined that the dressing room chats and conversations should never come out in public.

“What happens in the dressing room, should stay in the dressing room!” Pathan tweeted on Wednesday, January 01.

Earlier, some reports have suggested that Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian team, is not satisfied and that he's had enough with the kind of approach the team has shown over the course of the series. Meanwhile, the fate of Gambhir's India will be decided with the upcoming fifth and final Test of the series, which is set to be played at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground, in Sydney from Friday, January 03.
