Former Chennai Super Kings’ skipper and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is more likely to stay with the IPL franchise despite reports suggesting an exit due to a fall-out. In the lead up to the forthcoming edition of the IPL mini auction that is tentatively scheduled to be held in December, there has been much speculation surrounding  Jadeja and his exit from the CSK franchise.

Despite the differences between the player and the franchise in recent times, the association between the two is now ‘very likely’ according to reports in the Times of India. It is understood that, 2011 World Cup winning captain and CSK skipper MS Dhoni believes no other player can replicate the impact Jadeja has for the side.

Furthermore, Jadeja has been an integral part during his stints with the franchise and has been vital coming at no.7, exploding for the side.

Jadeja had deleted all posts related to CSK

Multiple reports suggested that Jadeja was not quite satisfied with the manner how his captaincy was handled last season, and how the transition was made after the side struggled under his captaincy. Moreover, earlier this year, the star all-rounder deleted all social media posts related to CSK that made it clear that he was not happy with the side.

What followed was speculations being made that the franchise may consider trading him with Delhi Capitals for Axar Patel ahead of the new season. Adding to this, a number of other teams have approached but MS Dhoni has been orchestrating Jadeja’s stay in order to continue with the club.

Furthermore, Dhoni has made it clear to the management that they cannot let a player of Jadeja's calibre go to a rival side. While Jadeja and the management have not maintained in touch for quite some time, there is a high possibility that Jadeja will now continue with the franchise for IPL 2023 considering his decade long familiarity with the club and association with MS Dhoni.
