It has been reported that Sourav Ganguly might not be the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president going forward as he is supposedly set to be replaced by the legendary pacer Roger Binny. Binny is currently serving as the president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

According to reports, the 1983 World Cup-winner could get a role in the BCCI after being named the Karnataka representative at the national cricket board's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) that is scheduled to be held on October 18 in Mumbai.

While Binny is set to represent the KSCA this time around, Ganguly would be a representing the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). At the same time, the reports also added that it is too early to predict anything as of now and there will only be a clarity once the nominations are filed next week.

"Earlier, KSCA's Santosh Menon would represent the KSCA in the BCCI AGM. But Binny will represent Karnataka unit this time, while Sourav Ganguly will represent the Cricket Association of Bengal," stated a report in the Sportstar.

"It is too early to predict anything. The nominations will be filed next week, only then things could be clear," a BCCI source was quoted as saying in the report.

Meanwhile the current office-bearers in the BCCI, including secretary Jay Shah and treasurer Arun Dhumal would also be contesting the elections. While Shah will represent the Gujarat Cricket Association, Dhumal will be representing the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).

The BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla will be representing the Uttar Prasdesh Cricket Association. Ex-treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary will be a part of the Haryana Cricket Association while Ashish Shelar wil be standing for the MCA i.e. the Mumbai Cricket Association.

Apart from these candidates, former ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar's son Adwait will be a representative of the Vidarbha Cricket Association.

The BCCI elections will be held for the following roles- President, vice-president, secratary, joint-secretary, and, the treasurer. The nominations for the said positions must be filed by October 11 and 12.
