Reports: Star India batter Shreyas Iyer purchases lavish commercial property worth ₹2.9 crore in Mumbai

Star Indian cricketer and batter Shreyas Iyer has joined the bandwagon of renowned sports athletes who have taken the route of yielding income through renting out or buying commercial spaces and properties. Now in a fresh development, the ravishing batter has reportedly purchased a property which costs a whopping 2.9 crore in Indian rupees.

Notably, the said property is said to be located in the Worli region of the metropolitan city of Mumbai. As sources claim, the prime property is situated in Adarshnagar. The building's name is said to be Godavari Industrial CHSL as documents reveal. Moreover, the sale deed of the concerned property was duly signed on July 16.

Speaking of the specifications, as per Propstaack, the carpet area of the KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) Captain's property is 510 square feet approximately. Besides, when it comes to the cost, the rate charge was estimated to be 56, 863 in Indian rupees. It was also reported that the star cricketer was unavailable to give his remarks or official confirmation regarding his latest property deal.

Meanwhile, this was not the first time that Shreyas Iyer had shown his love for lavish properties. The Mumbai-based batter had purchased a lavish apartment in the renowned The World Towers which was developed by a firm named, Macrotech Developers. As per the specifications, the apartment was said to be situated on the 48th floor which is spread around in 2,380 square feet area. The apartment boasts three modern car parks as well.

As per Zapkey, the rate is claimed to be averaging 49,817 Indian rupees on a per square feet basis. Furthermore,  Notably, the deal took place in September 2020. Furthermore, it was revealed that Iyer has invested nearly 12 crores in the apartment after taking possession. Notably, the deal took place back in September 2020.

In yet another property investment, Shreyas Iyer had also purchased an apartment in the Worli region of Mumbai from the renowned Lodha Developers. As per Zapkey, the apartment costs a whopping 8.4 crore in Indian rupees as revealed by documents accessed by them. The deal for the 1,701 square feet property was inked in July of the year 2018.

Interestingly, several Bollywood celebs have shown their liking to invest in lavish properties for commercial gains. The high-profile names included the likes of actors Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from them, in recent investment activities when it comes to athletes, the star India batter, Virat Kohli, too has remained active in increasing his net worth by investing big in properties. Notably, Kohli had leased 12 office spaces in the tech city Gurugram (formerly Gurgaon) in March, earlier this year. Speaking of possible gains in figures related to the offices, it was said that the cricketer had floated them out for 8.85 Lacs (approximately) per month in Indian rupees.

The tenure of the deal was set for nine years. Regarding the details of the commercial space, the property is located in sector 68 of the high-tech city in the form of a corporate tower named, Reach Comercia. The lavish commercial space is spread over 18,430 square feet. The lavish property boasts 37 car parking.

Apart from Kohli, Team India's ODI and Test Captain, Rohit Sharma, also made moves in the world of property deals. As per Zapkey, the Hitman leased out two apartments in the Bandra West region of Mumbai earlier this year. The cost as revealed by documents was said to be three lacs (approx) per month.
