Yashasvi Jaiswal might have started his cricketing journey from a humble background but his impeccable talent and hardwork are helping him materialize his aspirations. The left-handed batter has reportedly purchased an apartment in Mumbai.
According to documents accessed by the real estate database platform Zapkey, Jaiswal has spent Rs. 5.38 crore to buy a 1,110 square feet apartment in the Ten BKC project at Bandra East, Mumbai. It is learnt that the deal for this under-construction flat was registered on January 7th, 2024 by Jaiswal. Adani Realty, the project’s builder, however, has declined to speak about this transaction.
The residential project has had a troublesome history as the original promoter, Radius Estates, went into insolvency before Adani Reality stepped in. As per the brokers, the completion of the flats and subsequent handovers are going to be carried through later this year.
Ten BKC project started in 2016 and offers 2BHK, 3BHK, and 4BHK apartments. At the registered price, Jaiswal’s purchase deal is valued at over Rs. 48,000 per square foot.
Yashasvi Jaiswal going from strength to strength
The 22-year-old has impressed fans as well as experts with his consistent performances in international cricket. Since his debut in the Caribbean in July 2023, no other batter has scored more runs than him in Test cricket. In the ongoing five-match series between India and England, Jaiswal has continued his purple patch, smashing consecutive double-centuries. The Suriya-born is the leading run-getter in the series, having scored 545 runs in six innings at an average of 109 and a strike rate of 81.10.
India have won two games on the trot after going down in the first Test. With two more games to play, the Indian fans will want Jaiswal to continue his string of solid performances and help the hosts take an unassailable lead in the series. The fourth Test gets underway on Friday, February 23, in Ranchi.
