The report also suggested that a prize of Rs 75 lakh was also available for talented runner Gulveer Singh. With the prize money, Rinku is set to gift a car to his father, Khanchandra Singh.
The star batter’s father dominated the headlines after his son’s heroic performances for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2023. Recently, videos of Khanchandra Singh went viral after he was seen delivering gas cylinders which gave him food on difficult days. However, Rinku’s popularity has turned the family’s fortune around.
Rinku expected to play starring role for India in future
Rinku Singh’s performances in recent times have skyrocketed his fame. His performances in the IPL saw him receive his maiden call-up for the Indian team in the shortest format and the batter has delivered.
It is worth noting that Rinku has played 15 T20Is for India where he has amassed 356 runs to his name at an average of 89. With the T20 World Cup looming on the horizon, and with Rinku settling into his finisher role, his inclusion in the squad could prove to be key for the Men in Blue.
