Rishabh Pant joins Star Sports as 'Believe Ambassador'

Star Sports, the official television broadcaster of IPL, has signed India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant as their ‘Believe Ambassador.’ Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer are the other 'Believe Ambassadors.' Star Sports had two ambassadors in 2017 and currently has six, with Virat Kohli continuing his collaboration.

On Friday, Star Sports announced the 25-year-old keeper-batter as its latest 'Believe Ambassador.' With former India captain Kohli, the broadcaster will continue to create iconic campaigns and they will also collaborate on the creation of new programmes, like the Indian Sports Honours.

"The ‘Believe Ambassadors’ represent different parts of the country as well as different IPL Teams. Star Sports will work closely with the Cricketers to develop new campaigns and properties to grow the popularity of the sport and drive fandom, especially amongst youngsters," Star Sports stated in a press release.

Pant expressed his happiness at being named a brand ambassador of Star Sports. The 25-year-old said that the association will help him increase the game's popularity, particularly among the younger generations.
He also mentioned that he hopes to inspire young Indians through his association with Star Sports to make them believe that no matter where they come from, they can achieve their dreams through hard work.

“I’m happy to announce that I am joining Star Sports as its ‘Believe Ambassador’. The association allows me to grow the popularity of the game, especially amongst youngsters. Cricket has the power to bring joy, enrich lives and teach youngsters the right life lessons," he said.

A young boy from Roorkee had the belief that he would represent and earn laurels for his country. Through my association with Star Sports, I would like to inspire young Indians to believe that no matter where you come from, you can achieve your dreams through hard work. Just Believe!" he added.

Sanjog Gupta, Disney Star's head of sports, also welcomed Pant as one of the newest members of the 'Believe Ambassador' team. He stated that the cricketer will upheld the spirit of the game and their brand values as a vibrant, energetic talent with tremendous potential.
