Ahead of any important tournament, the dressing room environment plays a huge role in the team’s performance. Recently, during an interview, the Indian captain spilled the beans on the Indian dressing environment under his and head coach Rahul Dravid’s leadership. He also revealed that Dravid doesn’t want any communication gap in the team and has an open relationship with him.

“As far as Rahul bhai is concerned, I’ve huge respect for him for what he is a person firstly then obviously as a cricketer. He doesn’t want any communication gap among players, support staff or anyone else for that matter. His number one rule is that whatever the matter is will be communicated to the concerned individual. We’ve got an open relationship, we keep on talking about things and players. I’ve really enjoyed my time with him,” said Rohit Sharma in an interview with Vimal Kumar on his YouTube channel.

Further speaking about his camaraderie and the kind of discussions he has with Virat Kohli, Rohit stated that the duo generally discusses plans ahead of every upcoming series.

“When we’re at the crease together we discuss who’s bowling and devise plans on how to tackle him. We generally keep on discussing about upcoming challenges ahead of every series and keep an eye on the players to keep an eye on,” he added.
