Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are two of the world's most iconic and revered cricketers. While Rohit is the current Indian captain in the ODIs and Tests, Virat has led the team in all formats in the past.
Rohit started his international career in June 2007, debuting in an ODI clash against Ireland. Meanwhile, Kohli was introduced to the international arena in August 2008 in an ODI encounter versus Sri Lanka. Both players have massive fanbases around the world. Incidents of fan wars on social media also pop up now and then. However, the bond between the two stalwarts of Indian cricket is an embodiment of love and trust.
Kohli has played 123 Tests, 297 ODIs, and 125 T20Is so far in his illustrious career. He has amassed 9,230, 13,963, and 4,188 runs in the three formats, respectively. Meanwhile, Rohit has aggregated 4,302, 10,988, and 4,231 runs in 67 Tests, 268 ODIs, and 159 T20Is, respectively. They have also established their legacy in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Rohit is a five-time IPL-winning captain, Kohli is the leading run-scorer in the tournament.
Who earns more from bat sticker sponsorships?
Kohli's overall bat contract is worth around INR 100 crore as per reports. He gets around INR 12.5 crore per year from MRF, his bat sponsor. On the other hand, Rohit's bat contract is around INR 4 crore per year with CEAT tyres.
Kohli and Rohit are set to play important roles for India in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. Both of them had been struggling for runs with the bat in recent times. However, Rohit slammed a blistering century in the second ODI against England in Cuttack and Kohli scored a fluent half-century in the third ODI in Ahmedabad. They would want to take confidence from these knocks and help India clinch the Champions Trophy for the first time in 12 years.
