There is no doubt that the rivalry between India and Pakistan in cricket is evergreen; over the years, both sides have come forth with a plethora of talented players in their squads. However, there has been one rivalry that has stood out, and that has been between the many Pakistan bowlers and the Indian batters.

Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, and many other Pakistan bowlers dominated world cricket in their time, and a similar job is being done by players like Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf in the current generation. Seeing Pakistan’s talented arsenal of bowlers, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was recently asked in a media interaction who he thought was the toughest Pakistan bowler to face.

However, the seasoned batter had a cheeky response in store. When asked who the toughest bowler to face from Pakistan was, Rohit Sharma opined that every Pakistan player is good and he does not want to take a specific name as it always gives rise to controversies. His wife, Ritika Sajdeh, could not keep her calm as everyone started laughing after hearing his response.

"Sab acche bowlers hain. Main kisi ka naam nahi lunga, bahut bada bada controversy hota hain naam lia to (All are good bowlers. I won’t take anyone’s name. It will give rise to controversies if I take names)," Rohit Sharma was quoted as saying by India Today.

Rohit Sharma to return at Asia Cup 2023

It is worth noting that Rohit Sharma is not a part of team India’s ongoing T20I series against the West Indies. The 36-year-old featured in the Test and ODI games but was rested for the five-game T20I series.

He is anticipated to make his return to the Indian team in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 which is scheduled to begin on August 30. Currently, the Indian team is struggling against the West Indies as they have lost the first two T20Is of the series, but the side will be keen on putting in an improved performance in the remaining games which could help them make a comeback.
