SA20 2025: Robin Uthappa, Stuart Broad in star-studded commentary panel for third edition
The star-studded commentary panel falls in line with the SA20’s commitment to delivering a world-class viewing experience for all its viewers globally.
Indian cricket fans have an exciting reason to tune in to SA20 2025 as celebrated former cricketer and 2007 T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa joins the competition’s stellar commentary team. Running from 9 January 2025 to 8 February 2025, South Africa’s premier T20 franchise league will be the third edition of the tournament.
Joining Uthappa on the commentary panel are cricketing icons Kevin Pietersen, Shaun Pollock and Stuart Broad. The team also includes former Proteas stars Chris Morris and Ashwell Prince, as well as renowned cricket commentator Mpumelelo “Pommie” Mbangwa, whose velvety voice and expert analysis have made him a global voice of cricket.
The broadcast will also feature former Proteas captain, and fan favourite ‘Mr 360’ AB de Villiers, whose dynamic insights and unrivalled understanding of the game are sure to delight viewers tuning in to the broadcast.
Uthappa’s transition from player to commentator and analyst promises to bring Indian audiences expert insights and engaging analysis of one of the fastest-growing T20 leagues in the world. Following an illustrious IPL career with teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings, Uthappa offers a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective on the 20-over game.
The competition will also see the homecoming of Premier League presenter and anchor, Julia Stuart, to cover the anticipated games from the boundary ropes and in the stands, where passionate fans will be engrossed in world-class entertainment.
Award-winning broadcaster Motshidisi Mohono, recognized for her sharp insights and dynamic presentation, returns to the commentary box, joined by Natalie Germanos and familiar faces like Mark Nicholas and Mike Haysman.

The SA20 Season 3, which is to be played from 9 January 2025 to 8 February 2025, will be televised and broadcasted live on Sports18 and JioCinema.
