The Indian board aka BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) were at loggerheads ahead with each other in the lead up to the Champions Trophy 2025. The issues that caused a lot of commotion were about the Indian team avoiding travelling to Pakistan and also had some reservations about the logo of the host nation on their jerseys.

There have been plenty of people who have shared their views on this matter. Joining the bandwagon, the former legendary Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq opened up about his experiences of last year with the Indian board and blasted them for their tantrums. Hence, he wants the Green Shirts to teach the board a lesson by beating India in the upcoming high-voltage encounter between the two archrivals.

“Their tantrums just don’t end. We are singing their praises. Children here want to see Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Every child here wants to see them in action, but their tantrums just don’t end. I don’t know in which world they are living in and what they want to achieve. When are they going to be intelligent and wise? When will they open their hearts? By wearing a tie and talking in English, you think you have become civilised? Pakistan should take a stand and teach them a lesson,” Mushtaq was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times (HT).

Mushtaq shares Indian visa experience

Recalling an incident related to his experience of getting an Indian visa issued, the 48-year-old said that his Visa was kept in queue for months and eventually he failed to travel to join the New Zealand camp. Notably, when the Kiwis played and beat India in their backyard, Saqlain Mushtaq was appointed as a spin consultant for the tour but got an offer from his homeland eventually.

“I booked online (visa appointment) from Leicester where I live and got an appointment two weeks later. They made me sit in queue for four hours. I felt a bit embarrassed and I was disappointed as well for the treatment being meted out to me. You won’t believe how many people I approached (to get my visa processed)," the former Pakistan legend further continued.

"They kept telling me it’s in the queue to get processed. The status remained the same for three months. In the meantime, I got this offer from PCB. So I refused the visa. They (Indian authorities) took the fee as well and did not even acknowledge it,” Mushtaq concluded.
