Sara Tendulkar forays into entrepreneurship, buys franchise in Global e-Cricket League
The exact schedule of the second season of the tournament is yet to be unveiled.
Sachin Tendulkar's daughter, Sara Tendulkar, has been confirmed as the owner of the Mumbai franchise in the Global e-Cricket Premier League for its second season. The development was confirmed by JetSynthesys, a gaming organization focused majorly in digital entertainment and technology.
The GEPL is deemed to be the world's largest e-cricket and entertainment league. It is played on Real Cricket, a popular mobile cricket simulation game. RC has a total of 300 million lifetime downloads. As compared to its inaugural edition, the leage has witnessed reaching 910,000 (in comparison to 200,000). The GEPL has established itself as a trendsetter in the space of cricket e-sports. The content has streamed over 2.4 million minutes and has had a reach of over 70 million on JioCinema and Sports18.
Sara, who is also a biomedical scientist and registered nutritionist, expressed her excitement to be an integral part of the franchise ahead of the highly-anticipated season. She also seems to be eager to collaborate

The CEO and founder of JetSynthesys, Rajan Navani, shared that the organization was excited to collaborate with Sara to achieve their objective of popularising the game among the general audience.

There are a few additional characteristics which will get introduced in the second season of the GEPL. The league dynamics will expand further in addition to the formats of the teams, the gameplay is set to be a cutting-edge one, to be powered by Real Cricket 24. The summit clash of the ace tournament will be scheduled in May 2025, where top sides will battle it out for the renowned title of 'e-Cricket Icon' on the global arena.
