Sarfaraz Khan and his wife Romana Zahoor became parents for the first time on Monday, October 21, when they were blessed with a baby boy. The adorable couple got married last year on August 7.

Sarfaraz's father, Naushad Khan, also took to Instagram to celebrate becoming a grandfather by sharing an image with the newly born baby and his older son. For the unversed, Sarfaraz's younger brother Musheer Khan made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Mumbai last season.

Zahoor's entry into Sarfaraz's life has brought the talented cricketer great luck. He made a long-awaited international debut earlier this year against England and also smashed his maiden Test ton in the recently concluded first Test between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, albeit in a losing cause.

Sarfaraz, who turns 27 on Tuesday, was blessed with his first child on birthday eve as his better half gave birth to a baby boy. The right-handed batter posted a photo on his Instagram story, where he joyfully held the newest member of his family.

Has Sarfaraz Khan done enough to hold onto his place for second Test?

Sarfaraz scored three half-centuries in as many matches against England. Still, he failed to get an opportunity in the playing XI in the Test series against Bangladesh, which concluded earlier this month. However, he got his opportunity in the first Test against the Kiwis after Shubman Gill was ruled out due to neck stiffness.

Sarfaraz has made the most of his opportunity and give the team management a happy selection headache. Gill is expected to return to the side for the second Test, which begins on Thursday, October 24, in Pune.

Sarfaraz, who scored a brilliant 150 off 195 balls, could retain his place in the side if India decide to drop KL Rahul in favour of Gill. The Karnataka batter had a dismal outing on his home ground as he registered scores of 0 and 12 in the two innings. It will be interesting to see what decision the Indian team management comes up with.
