Scotland will host Australia for the three-match T20I series, scheduled to take place between September 4 to 7. Scotland have announced the squad for the impending series and all the players who featured in the T20 World Cup 2024 are available for the series. It is worth noting that, the Board has also included Charlie Cassell and Jasper Davidson, who will debut for Scotland in the 17-member squad.
Scotland gave a tough time for Australia in the T20 World Cup 2024 game played in St Lucia. Defending a target of 181, they made the Aussies toil hard before succumbing to the third ball of the last over. The two teams will meet again in Edinburgh on September 4 for the first T20I. Scotland’s Head Coach, Doug Watson quipped that the team is itching to push the Aussies away.

“I’m hugely excited. It’s a wonderful opportunity to play one of the best teams in the world, and I’m pretty sure that our players won’t need any motivation for this series. It’s a great opportunity for them to share the field with world-class players. They’re wanting to put in some huge performances and compete, and really push this Australia team,” said Watson as quoted by Cricket Scotland.
“The goal for us is to win this series. The first game is really important – if we can win that, it’ll set up the next two matches. The whole week will be brilliant for the squad, staff, supporters, and all of Scotland,” he added.
