Team Bangladesh reached Pakistan for the two-match Test series with the first Test scheduled to commence on August 21, in Rawalpindi. The second Test, scheduled to be held in Karachi on August 30, has been moved out of the city. The second Test will now be hosted by Rawalpindi due to the ongoing construction and renovation at the Karachi Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier informed that the Karachi Stadium is currently undergoing construction as it is one of the three venues hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 games. Earlier, PCB had cancelled the ticket bookings for fans and also promised to refund the ticket amount. Concerning the second Test, PCB decided to reschedule the match as construction workers informed the board about the noise pollution caused due to ongoing work.

“Additionally, the dust from the construction work could also affect the health and well-being of the players, officials, broadcasters, and media,” the PCB said in a statement.
