Shaun Tait joins Karachi Kings as fast bowling coach for PSL 2025

Shaun Tait has been appointed as the fast bowling coach of Karachi Kings for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10. The Kings' owner, Salman Iqbal, made the announcement ahead of the start of the tournament. The PSL is set to commence on Friday, April 11 between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.

The Karachi Kings will play their first game on April 12 against the Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi. Tait, 42, has played international cricket for Australia and has vast experience in the bowling department. The bowler has taken 598 wickets in professional cricket, including 95 international wickets.

The lethal bowler was a part of the PSL back in 2016 as well when he played for Peshawar Zalmi. Carrying his experience into the tournament, Tait will be looking forward to boosting the team's fast bowling resources. After his retirement from international cricket, he took up full-time coaching jobs and started training players across teams.

Tait was the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators in the previous season of the PSL. He was also the bowling coach of Afghanistan in 2021 and Pakistan in 2022-23. The bowler will be looking forward to being a part of a new team in the upcoming tournament. He will combine with his compatriot David Warner who will be leading the side in PSL 10.
