Shubman Gill moves to No. 3 spot in latest ICC Men's ODI rankings

In brilliant news for team India, two batters have made significant strides in the men’s ODI batter rankings. Despite star Pakistan batter Babar Azam having a stranglehold at the No. 1 position in the rankings, ace Indian batter Shubman Gill made quite the leap as he now sits at No. 3 in the ODI batter rankings, which is the highest for any Indian player currently.

The leap came after Gill’s brilliant knock against Nepal in match 5 of the Asia Cup 2023, where he scored 67* runs in 62 deliveries to comfortably chase the target for India, propelling them to a 10-wicket victory.

Furthermore, Ishan Kishan cracked the top 25 in the rankings after his brilliance against Pakistan in match 3. Scoring 82 runs in 81 deliveries, Kishan’s resilient knock helped India stabilize their innings. His knock also saw him move up to 24th place in the rankings.
