PCB gets two new high-performance centres from Pakistan's state government in Punjab
PCB now has five high-performance centres in their possession.
In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially received two state-of-the-art high-performance centres from the government of Punjab. These cutting-edge facilities are poised to elevate the standard of cricket training, talent development, and performance enhancement in the country.
Located in Sialkot and Faisalabad, the centres are open to cricketers of all ages and genders. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, it includes dedicated cricket grounds with the highest standard pitches to elevate the skills and performance of the upcoming cricketers in the country. With the addition of Sialkot and Faisalabad, PCB now has five high-performance centres to their name.

Other than these three, there’s the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, the Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre in Multan and the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi. Speaking about the new development, Nadeem Khan, director of domestic cricket, expressed his gratitude towards the government of Punjab and added that the two new performance centres will have the ideal environment for players to enhance their skills and reach their full potential.
“I would like to express my gratitude towards the Government of Punjab for entrusting the PCB with two High-Performance centres. These state-of-the-art facilities will significantly elevate the standard of cricket training in Pakistan. With access to top-notch infrastructure and resources, our players will have the ideal environment to hone their skills and reach their full potential,” Khan was quoted as saying by pcb.com.pk.
Pakistan players expected to use facilities of new performance centres to prepare for upcoming T20 World Cup
Notably, the Lahore Performance Centre boasts world-class infrastructure and amenities. It is equipped with new-age technology, including advanced practice pitches, biomechanics labs, and fitness training areas. It also provides the cricketers with top-notch coaching, personalized fitness regimens, and mental conditioning.
On the other hand, the Karachi Performance Centre features specialized training zones for batting, bowling, and fielding, allowing players to focus on specific aspects of their game. The Multan Performance Centre meanwhile offers top-notch resources as it aims to elevate the standard of cricket in South Punjab. Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, the players can train in these centres to keep themselves active as there's a significant break between PSL and the mega tournament.
