Desert Vipers and Dubai Capitals faced off in a thrilling clash in the 27th game of the ongoing ILT20 2024. Both sides took on each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, February 9. The clash went down to the wire in the end, as the Capitals required 13 runs to win the game in the final over.

Youngster Ali Naseer was given the opportunity to bowl the final over, and he bowled quite bravely. As the Capitals required six runs to win the game off the final ball, it was the brilliant display by Zimbabwe star Sikandar Raza that helped the Capitals win the game.

Orchestrating his team’s victory, Raza built a 79-run partnership in 54 balls for the fourth wicket with Sam Billings and a 40-run partnership in 23 balls with Dasun Shanaka for the fifth wicket.

The star all-rounder hit the final ball for a six-over long-on and helped the Capitals win the game by five wickets. Raza ended his innings after scoring 60* runs in 45 deliveries, earning the Player of the Match award.
