It is worth noting that Shardul was exceptional with the ball throughout the season for Mumbai. In nine matches, Thakur took 15 wickets, with best bowling figures of 4/25.
Thakur’s performance was crucial for Mumbai in their title-winning campaign. Furthermore, Mukesh Choudhary, who represented Maharashtra in the SMAT 2024, is also tied with Thakur in third place. Choudhary played six matches in the recently concluded-tournament and managed to take 15 wickets as well. Despite not getting to win the tournament, the left-arm pacer's performances for Maharashtra definitely stood out.

Hailing from Chandigarh, Jagjit Singh finished the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 campaign as the highest wicket-taker of the competition. The right-arm medium pacer played seven matches in the tournament and managed to take a whopping 18 wickets in the process as well.
