South Africa women's team is currently in Karachi playing a three-match ODI series against Pakistan. They were beaten 3-0 in the recently concluded T20I series against Nida Dar's women and will look to turn their fortunes in the 50-over format.

After the third ODI, which is scheduled to be played on Thursday, September 14, the Proteas will return to their base for a jam-packed home season. They were already scheduled to host New Zealand for three ODIs, followed by five T20Is in September-October. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed that Laura Wolvaardt and Co. will have two more home assignments against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh, who defeated India for the first time in an ODI earlier this year, have shown massive signs of improvement as of late. They will play three T20Is and three ODIs against South Africa in December. The matches will be played across four cities - Benoni, Kimberley, East London, and Potchefstroom. These venues will once again host matches during the three-match T20I and three-match ODI series featuring South Africa and Sri Lanka in March-April 2024.

These inbound tours hold the promise of thrilling cricket action and provide our team with another opportunity to shine on the international stage: CSA Chief Executive Pholetsi Moseki

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face a South African XI in warm-up games before their opening ODI encounters against the Proteas begin. According to CSA Chief Executive Pholetsi Moseki, the two series will allow the South African players to excel and the fans to witness some entertaining cricketing action.

"Taking on the challenges posed by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka marks both the exciting continuation and culmination of our 2023/24 summer of cricket for the Proteas Women. These inbound tours hold the promise of thrilling cricket action and provide our team with another opportunity to shine on the international stage,” CSA’s Chief Executive Pholetsi Moseki said.

"It's particularly intriguing to welcome Bangladesh in the heart of the South African summer during the festive month of December. The blend of international cricket with the year-end jollity in the country will be a treat for sports enthusiasts across the nation, while Sri Lanka's visit towards the end of the season will serve as a fitting finale to what promises to be a busy and, hopefully, successful campaign for the Proteas Women."
