Sri Lanka vs Australia 2025: Match Preview, 2nd ODI
The first game of the series was comprehensively won by the hosts by a 49-run margin.
Sri Lanka will square off against Australia in the second and final game of the ODI series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, February 14. The series opener was won by the hosts.
It was a low-scoring affair at the same venue, which ultimately went in favour of Sri Lanka. Skipper, Charith Asalanka, waged a lone war; amassing a career-best 127 to pilot his side to 214. It was a complete bowling performance by the Australian attack, but the job was just half done till that point.
The tourists had a similarly apocalyptic start to the run-chase. Other than Alex Carey and Aaron Hardie, no other batter crossed the 30-run mark, as the tourists were bundled out for 165 in 33.5 overs. Maheesh Theekshana shone with the ball with a four-wicket haul. If Australia doesn't win this game, it will be their second-consecutive 50-over series loss against the Lankans in the island nation.

Pitch Report
The track in Khettarama was surprisingly quite helpful to the pacers with the new ball. A similar deck could be anticipated for this game. Batters are expected to have another challenging outing. Enough purchase could be expected from the deck as the ball wears roughens up.
