The upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League is scheduled to run from August 29 to October 4. On Monday July 15, the CPL draft was held, where teams finalised their squads for the prestigious tournament. Aaron Jones, who had an impressive T20 World Cup 2024 campaign for debutants USA, signed for St Lucia Kings as a local player by virtue of holding a Barbados passport.
Jones lit up the T20 World Cup last month by scoring a magnificent half-century in the curtain raiser against Canada. He also orchestrated USA's nerve-wracking Super Over win against former champions Pakistan. The right-handed batter will be eager to continue his purple patch when he dons the St Lucia Kings jersey.

All six teams were more or less sorted after forming their teams through signings and retentions. They completed their squads through the draft on Monday. Kings also brought in the likes of Khari Campbell, Johann Jeremiah, Mikkel Govia, and Akeem Auguste at the drafts.
The destructive Kyle Mayers was the first player signed in the draft as he joined St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Meanwhile, Mikyle Louis, who made his Test debut at Lord's last week, will also represent Patriots, alongside Ryan John and Veerasammy Permaul.
On the other hand, it was a homecoming for Matthew Nandu as he was picked up by defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors, who also roped in all-rounders Raymon Reifer and Ronaldo Alimohamed to complete their squad.
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons - who will replace Jamaica Tallawahs in CPL 2024 - have signed Roshon Primus, Justin Greaves, Jahmar Hamilton, Teddy Bishop and Kofi James. Meanwhile, Trinbago Knight Riders, who are the most successful team in the competition with four titles in their cabinet, have brought in Nathan Edward and Shaquere Parris to fill their emerging player spots.
Barbados Royals were left with only three slots to fill in their side and they acquired the services of Kadeem Alleyne, Nathan Sealy, and Isai Thorne, who has played for West Indies at the last two Under-19 World Cups.
