Former India pacer Irfan Pathan advocates for Shubman Gill's immediate inclusion in the lineup for the upcoming high-voltage ICC World Cup 2023 showdown against Pakistan this Saturday. In a recent interview, Pathan emphasized the crucial partnership between Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, underscoring its significance for Team India. The ex-cricketer recommended the India opener's inclusion if he's in good form and feeling fit, proposing a possible replacement of Ishan Kishan to accommodate the returning talent in the team.
"Straight away. Straight away get him in because of the kind of combination they are creating between Gill and Rohit Sharma. That combination has given India probably 100 average, especially since they have come back together. If he's feeling good, if he's not feeling weak, I definitely would get him in. Straightforward. Shubman Gill comes in for Ishan Kishan," Pathan said on Star Sports.

The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) ensured a top-notch practice environment by providing six net bowlers and a specialist for throwdowns, further enhancing his preparation.
