India were very close to a series win in England in 2021 but the series had to be halted due to COVID-19 as the fifth and final Test of the series was rescheduled in 2022. England won the fixture to end the series on level terms. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be determined to get the job done this time around when they travel to UK for the Pataudi Trophy in 2025.

Reflecting upon that, former England international Stuart Broad said that it is going to be a "crackerjack" of a series. He noted that the five-match Test series could be Virat Kohli’s last dance in England and also mentioned India’s talent and depth in red-ball cricket. He also added that the Ben Stokes-led side will be on the money, especially after a humiliating series in India.

Broad also analysed that the series won’t be one-sided be any means and expects it to be highy competitive. He believes that the final Test will decide the outcome of the series and also predicted that if the weather keeps well, the Test series could well end on level terms.

“I think it’s going to be an absolute crackerjack of a series. This could be Virat’s last tour of England. They’ve got so much talent and so much depth and England are slightly more youthful and less experienced but have a huge amount of talent and play this front-foot style of cricket,” Broad was quoted as saying by Cricket Paper.

“As a fan, you want to watch every ball of that series. England will be on the money, and I think it’s going to be close. I don’t think it will be a five-nil or a four-nil, it will probably be going down to the last Test. If the weather plays ball, I think it will be 2-2,” he added.

Notably, the five-match Test series will begin on June 20, 2025, at Headingley in Leeds. The other Tests will be played at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford, and the Oval respectively.
