The mandate for international cricketers playing domestic cricket has brought a lot of audiences to domestic leagues like the Ranji Trophy. The domestic tournament will now be going into the quarter-finals which will be played from the February 08 and there will be some big international superstars.

Mumbai, the defending champions, will see some big stars in their line-up for the quarter-finals, where they will face Haryana at Rohtak. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, who are currently busy with national duties for the ongoing series against England, will return to the domestic set-up after the fifth and final T20I to feature for the Mumbai side in the all-important quarter-final fixture.

The duo's availability was confirmed by a well-placed source within the Mumbai Cricket Association. The source confirmed that the squad for the upcoming game will be picked by the selection committee shortly, according to the Indian Express.

“Yadav and Dube have informed us that they are available for the quarter-finals. The selection committee will meet soon and pick a squad for the same,” the source said.

Chance for Suryakumar Yadav to find some form

There is no doubt that Suryakumar Yadav is one of the best T20 batters in Indian cricket and is also the current T20I captain. However, while Dube was the Player of the Match fourth T20I versus England in Pune, Yadav has had an underwhelming series so far which he will want to forget, and getting some runs in the domestic scene can bring back some confidence.

The 34-year-old could manage only 28 runs in the five matches against England and averaged only 5.60. This is one of the rarest T20I series where Yadav has not got a single 30+ score and has also registered two ducks in the first and fourth T20I of the series. His performance also marked the lowest runs amassed by an Indian skipper in a T20I series.
