India look well poised to register a win against Australia in the ongoing third T20I match in Hyderabad. The hosts lost both their openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul within the first four overs while chasing a big 187-run target. But star middle order batters Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav stabilised India's innings well and the Rohit Sharma-led side looks favourite to win the series.

Australia lost the toss and were invited to bat first again by the Indian captain. But in-form opener Cameron Green smashed 52 runs off 21 balls to give Australia a blazing start. Indian spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel kept India in the match but Tim David smashed his first fifty for Australia to help them score 186/7 in 20 overs.

India lost Rahul in the innings' first over on a Daniel Sams delivery and Rohit in the fourth over to Pat Cummins. But Kohli and Suryakumar then took charge with an attacking approach and backed it with classic big shots all around the stadium. Kohli treated his fans with two sensational boundaries off Adam Zampa in the ninth over but Suryakumar smashed a spectacular six in the next over to keep India ahead in the chase.

Suryakumar wows again:

On Daniel Sams' fourth delivery in the tenth over, Suryakumar made room for himself and thrashed the ball into the crowd over the long-off region. It was a treat for the fans as it was indeed a mesmerising hit.

Suryakumar continued the momentum with three more sixes and scored 69 runs off 36 balls at an impressive strike rate of 191.66. He got caught out by Aaron Finch on long off on a Josh Hazlewood delivery in the 14th over. But India were in a comfortable position with 52 runs needed in the last six overs with Kohli and Hardik Pandya on the crease.
