T20 World Cup 2022: Habibul Bashar names his semi-finalist choices
Bashar said that India and South Africa are favorites to qualify for the next stage.
The T20 World Cup 2022 is slowly reaching towards its business end and all the teams are giving their best to qualify for the semi-finals. Meanwhile, the former Bangladesh skipper Habibul Bashar has predicted its four semi-finalists for the T20 World Cup.
The veteran said that South Africa and India are top favorites to qualify for the semi-finals, but they are not unbeatable and other teams in their group also stand a chance to go through the next round. For Group 1, Bashar said that the situation is very tricky and the fans might have to wait till the last group stage match before finding out the top two teams from the group.
If Bangladesh pulls up something against India then you never know: Bashar
"South Africa and India are definitely top favorites, but there is some chance for other teams as well. India and South Africa are two strong sides, but they are not unbeatable. If Bangladesh pulls up something then you never know. In group A, the situation is very tricky and we might have to wait till the last group stage match. In group B, South Africa will qualify and we have to wait for India vs Bangladesh game to end to see which team moves forward," said Habibul Bashar on BatBricks presents Run ki Runneeti only on Crictracker.
Meanwhile, team India will take on Bangladesh in their group-stage encounter at the Adelaide Oval on November 2 (Wednesday). The Men in Blue are coming to the contest after suffering a defeat at the hands of South Africa. Bangladesh, on the other hand defeated, Zimbabwe in a last-ba;; thriller by three runs and they will back themselves to defeat the strong Indian side.
Both teams will look to win the upcoming game and try to qualify for the next stage. For India, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have looked in good touch in the competition and they will want to play a match-winning role for their side in the upcoming game.
