T20 World Cup 2022: Head Coach Rahul Dravid’s reaction after India's thrilling victory over Pakistan wins internet
Virat Kohli and R Ashwin took India home after the team needed 16 off the final over in the recent India-Pakistan encounter.
India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has been a great ambassador of the game and was not known for expressing a lot of emotions on the field during his playing days.
He is known to celebrate in his own way in a calm and composed manner to acknowledge the crowd but the former India captain celebrated in an animated way after the Men in Blue clinched a nail-biting thriller against Pakistan on Sunday (October 23) at the MCG.
The whole Indian dugout including the support staff was up on its feet after the remarkable turnaround from the Rohit Sharma led-side. With 48 runs needed off the last three overs, it looked like probably the game was done and dusted for India. However, star batter Virat Kohli kept going after the Pakistan bowling attack with some incredible shots and brought the equation down to 16 needed off the last over.
Despite losing two wickets in the last over, the no-ball resulting in a six changed the game in India’s favour and Kohli alongside R Ashwin guided the team home in an unreal atmosphere.
No wonder, Dravid was quite buoyant after the victory. The video of Dravid’s reactions went viral on the internet after ICC posted it on Instagram.

More than 90,000 fans arrived at the MCG to witness the India-Pakistan game in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup 2022 and they couldn't have asked for a better experience. There was a lot of chant and buzz around the ground and even commentators including Sunil Gavaskar, and Irfan Pathan among others were at the boundary line to celebrate the winning moment.
After losing four wickets for 31 runs, Kohli and Hardik Pandya (40) added 113 runs for the fifth wicket and brought back hopes to the Indian fans. The game was in Pakistan's grasp for the major part of the second innings, and it needed an innings of the highest caliber from Kohli, who remained unbeaten on 82 off 53 balls with four sixes to help India to a victory.
