T20 World Cup 2022: India's four standby players set to fly Australia with team
India's standby players include Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Deepak Chahar
India had already announced their 15-member T20 World Cup squad, which would travel to Australia, a few days back. However, as per the latest developments, BCCI has decided that the four Standby players including Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Deepak Chahar would also be travelling to Australia with the team.
As per the latest situation, the services of the above-mentioned players will also be readily available to the team in case any mainstream player suffers any injury. It has also been reported that Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar apart from Hardik Pandya have been asked to report to the NCA for conditioning related routine.
Shami, who’s absence was questioned way too much from the T20 WC squad, last played a T20I during India’s last group stage match in T20 WC 2021. It remains to be seen how he would come up on the field if given a chance in the XI. On the other hand, India after an underwhelming outing in the Asia Cup 2022, would be eager to come up with flying colours in mega ICC event.

Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
