The stage is set for Semi-Final 2 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. Two giants of world cricket, England and India, will lock horns for a place in the summit clash of the mega event at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, on Thursday, June 27. England have had a roller coaster season in the World Cup so far.

Barely making it into the Super Eights stage of the tournament, the Jos Buttler-led side quickly picked up their form and put in excellent performances to reach the semis of the tournament. The side finished in second place in Group 2 of the Super Eight stage, just behind South Africa, who have reached the summit clash.

On the other hand, Team India have had a near flawless tournament in the T20 World Cup 2024 so far, staying unbeaten throughout the group stage and the Super Eights stages as well. The Men in Blue are considered one of the biggest favourites for the title and will be looking to go all the way.

England eliminated India from the semis of the 2022 T20 World Cup, but the Rohit Sharma-led side will hope for a different outcome this time around, and stage a perfect revenge.

Is rain set to affect England-India game in Providence Stadium?

As the clash between India and England approaches, there is only one question in the minds of every supporter, and that is whether the weather will be clear in the upcoming clash. However, in terrifying news, the forecast of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms is predicted on match day.

On June 27, there is a 70 percent chance of rain, and a washout is quite possible as well. Passing showers are expected to delay the proceedings, with the weather getting severe as the game time nears.

The toss is likely to be delayed as well if the conditions do not improve in Guyana, and it is worth noting that if the game is washed out, then India will progress into the final to face South Africa, as they finished atop their Super Eights group, whereas England finished second.
