The fiery Bangladesh quick bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled fiery four overs against India in Super 8s of the T20 World Cup 2024. He took two crucial wickets of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant with an economy of 8.00 in the match. 

He also left South Africa bamboozled with a superb bowling spell upfront to trigger a top-order collapse by claiming a sensational three-wicket haul in Match 21 of the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York. The magnitude of his bowling impact can be fathomed by the fact that at one stage, Proteas were stuttering at 23/4 inside the powerplay phase.

As a result, the youngster ended up with his career-best bowling figures (4/18) in the T20I format. Moreover, he also went on to register the fourth-best bowling figures by a Bangladesh bowler after Mustafizur Rahman (5/22), Shakib Al Hasan (4/9), and Taskin Ahmed (4/25), respectively. Notably, Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks and Tristan Stubbs were the key victims of his bowling wrath.

Who is Tanzim Hasan Sakib, the rising Bangladesh pacer?

The new bowling sensation Tanzim Hasan Sakib hails from Sylhet district in Bangladesh. Notably, he also represents the Sylhet Division in the domestic circuit of the Asian nation. Notably, he was born on October 20 in the year 2002. Interestingly enough, he made his T20I debut against Team India. During his debut game, he picked up Rohit Sharma's wicket on just the fourth ball of his career to announce his arrival at the international arena.

So far, the cunning right-arm fast-medium bowler has featured in 8 T20 Internationals for his country. Besides, speaking of his early days, Tanzim Hasan Sakib also featured in the Under-29 World Cup for Bangladesh and went on to become a world champion by helping his side win the World Cup back in the year 2020.

Now speaking of his upcoming stints, he is most likely to start the bowling proceedings for Bangladesh in their next T20 World Cup 2024 encounter against the European side Netherlands. Notably, both sides will clash in Match 27 of the ongoing T20 World Cup at Kingstown in St Vincent, West Indies, in a bid to help his team inch closer to grabbing the top two spot in the points tally.
