Ahead of the mega final of the 2022 Asia Cup, team Sri Lanka comfortably thrashed the other finalists Pakistan in their last super four match played at the Dubai International Stadium on September 9 (Friday).

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer and cricket expert Vijay Dahiya has opined that team Sri Lanka is enjoying their game and they have gained more than any other team that has participated in the tournament whether they win the final match or not.

It looks like everyone in the Sri Lanka team knows their role: Vijay Dahiya

"Sri Lanka team is enjoying their game, sometimes you be in the race that runs can be scored which results in mechanical sort of batting. But, when you enjoy your batting, runs are also scored and the fans also enjoy the game," said former Indian cricketer Vijay Dahiya via 'BatBricks7 presents Run Ki Runneeti' on CricTracker.

"In Sri Lanka batting order it looks like everyone is assigned their role and they are performing it well. If you leave the first two matches, Sri Lanka team has gained more than any other nation participating in the tournament whether they win the cup or not," he added.

Talking about Sri Lanka and Pakistan game, the former won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. The Men in Green opening batters Mohammad Rizwan and skipper Babar Azam gave a decent start to the team, but a clinical bowling performance from the Lanka side meant that Pakistan could not cross the 130-run mark in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost track in their chase game, but an excellent fifty from opener Pathum Nissanka followed by some crucial contributions from Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Dasun Shanaka made sure that Sri Lanka win the match easily in the end.

Meanwhile, both teams will take on each other in the final match of the Asia Cup to be played at the Dubai International Stadium on September 11 (Sunday).
