His spell ensured that Bangladesh were bundled out for a score of 127 runs, which in turn helped India secure a comfortable victory. After the game, Chakaravarthy collected praise from many.
In the post-match press conference, Chakravarthy credited the Indian domestic circuit for his smooth comeback into the Indian team. He highlighted the standard of the Indian domestic circuit, and how the players are always ready to compete at the highest level.
“The amount of competition in domestic, the domestic people don't talk about it much, but the amount of competition that goes in the domestic side is immense. More than 30+ domestic sides and we play every team, Syed Mushtaq Ali, Vijay Hazare and there are many many tournaments which keep happening, and the standard of Syed Mushtaq Ali and VIjay Hazare is very high,” Chakravarthy said in the post-match press conference.
“Once you keep playing such leagues and people like Nitish and Mayank, they are ready for IPL directly, they are ready for the internationals also, so definitely, the credit goes to the domestic set-up,” Chakravarthy said.
