The PSL matches will continue as per schedule, all players are being well looked after: Najam Sethi
"The PSL matches will continue as per schedule. All the players are being well looked after,” Najam Sethi said.
Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi opined that the remaining matches of the ongoing PSL (Pakistan Super League) will be unaffected by the terrorist attack on the Karachi police chief's office on Friday, February 16.
Najam Sethi opined that the matches will continue as scheduled, as presidential security has been in place for the players and officials since the start of the league.
"The PSL matches will continue as per schedule. All the players are being well looked after,” Najam Sethi was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Furthermore, another one of the board officials said that the various security agencies and the government have given clearance to conduct PSL matches despite the ongoing tensions. "The incident that happened yesterday is unrelated to the PSL," the official said.
It is also worth noting that two of the PSL matches are scheduled to be held at the National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday and Sunday and seeing the ongoing tension, security has been increased at the team hotel and at the stadium itself as well.
