'They surely deserve it' - Lalit Modi predicts RCB to win IPL 2025

The founder of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lalit Modi, expressed his love for Virat Kohli and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on social media. He posted a trending Ghibli-style image of Kohli carrying the IPL trophy in his hands, with a heartwarming caption for the team. 

Modi predicted that RCB will win the trophy this year as the fans 'deserve' it since they have been waiting for 18 years. The Bengaluru-based franchise is performing well in the ongoing season and they have a good chance of lifting the trophy as well. Modi praised Kohli for his contributions to Indian cricket and to RCB as well. 

Despite not winning the title yet, RCB have a huge fan following and are currently the most followed team on Instagram. This speaks volumes about the team and the fans who have got their back even after being trophyless for 17 seasons. 

"I think I will take to predicting that Royal Challengers Bengaluru will win the IPL this year. It will be much loved by the RCB fans who have waited a good 18 years. They surely deserve it. What a stellar performance this season by the team," he captioned an Instagram post.  

"Virat Kohli the superstar who started with RCB right from the start of season one - when he was a youngster who had just captained India team which he led to win the U-19 Cricket World Cup 2008 - he went from there on to a brilliant career winning the #hearts of over billion people globally. It would be a #fitting win for the team and HIM, which was bought by my good friend Vijay Mallya for 112 million dollars in 2008. Wish them all the best," Modi captioned further.

This season, Rajat Patidar is leading the team and has done a good job. RCB have won four away matches and are competing hard in the tournament. If they continue to win their upcoming games, qualification is guaranteed for RCB.
