India and Pakistan will face off each other on February 23, in a high-voltage Champions Trophy 2025 game, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, in Dubai. The rivalry is always termed a thriller, looking at several issues involving both countries other than cricket. Historically, the Men in Blue have been dominating in the ICC events whenever they have faced each other, but of late, the Green Shirts have looked under the cosh in front of mighty Indians.

Pakistan’s notable wins against India are the final of the Champions Trophy 2017 and the league game during the T20 World Cup 2022. Other than this, they have always been outclassed by their Asian counterparts. Speaking ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 clash, former Pakistan skipper, Shahid Afridi has expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of aggression in the current generation of players. Former India cricketer, Yuvraj Singh metaphorically quoted the relationship between both countries on the field.

"Aaj kal ke players sab McDonalds, KFC wale hai (Today's players are Mcdonalds, KFC generation)", Afridi said as quoted by NDTV Sports.

"India vs Pakistan relationship is like miya-biwi. In the morning they quarrel and in the evening they eat together,” he added.

Here is the viral video of Afridi and Yuvraj’s conversation:
