Toss mascot Will lives a dream and dares to dream one more

In a heartwarming moment in the recently played T20I clash between New Zealand and Pakistan, young Will, the mascot tasked with flipping the coin, shared his excitement and gratitude in a touching message.

The second T20I at Seddon Park, Hamilton had a special guest in Will, who not only got to toss the coin but also had the privilege of collecting signatures from most of the players on his bat.

Recently, Will conveyed his gratitude expressing that he enjoyed the experience, collected most players' signatures on his bat, and appreciated the kindness shown by everyone despite his initial nervousness.

“Thank you for picking me to be the coin toss kid at the Blackcaps vs Pakistan game in Seddon Park, Hamilton that was played last night. I really liked it and I and I got most players signatures on my bat I was a little nervous to start with but everyone was nice to me," Will shared his thoughts in a post on Instagram, as posted by BlackCaps NZ.

The young cricket enthusiast went on to share his dream, expressing a desire to become a Blackcap someday. It's evident that the experience had a lasting impression on the aspiring cricketer.

"Some day I want to be a Blackcap myself thanks for letting me do that last night from Will", he added in his heartfelt post.

Will's joy was further amplified as the Blackcaps secured a victory against Pakistan by 21 runs. The electrifying performance included a stellar knock from Finn Allen, who scored 74 runs from 41 balls, setting a blistering pace early in the innings.

The young mascot was also seen capturing moments with wrist spinner Ish Sodhi and Daryl Mitchell, as shared by the Blackcaps on their social media handles. The camaraderie between the players and Will highlighted the inclusive spirit of the cricketing community.

Talking about that match, despite a strong start by Pakistan in their chase of 195 runs, New Zealand's bowlers, including Milne, Sears, Southee, and Sodhi, applied the brakes, leading to a thrilling victory for the home team.
