All-rounder Mitchell Marsh has grown his moustache ahead of the second Test against Pakistan, which is slated to begin on December 26 in Melbourne. Explaining the reason behind this, the 32-year-old stated that he wanted to look like Travis Head and hence, he is growing his moustache at the moment.

When it comes to his performance, Marsh has been a key figure for Australia in the Test side. The cricketer mentioned that he is enjoying his time in the middle in red-ball cricket and added that he has found his way as a Test cricketer and is loving it at the moment.

“The mo is just trying to be like Heady. The way I went about (batting in Perth) was the way I want to play my cricket. In my last four Test matches, I’ve really found my way, and who I am as a Test cricketer. I’m loving it,” Marsh was quoted as saying by Fox Cricket.

Hopefully I can stay nice and consistent: Marsh

For the majority part of his career, Marsh wasn’t considered to be a proper Test player. He has suffered a lot of injuries in his career, which derailed his momentum in red-ball cricket but things have changed in recent times. The Perth-born cricketer replaced Cameron Green in the playing XI during Ashes 2023 and since then, he has become a regular in the team. The all-rounder now aims to remain nice and consistent to maintain his place in the playing XI.

“I’ve found a method that works … hopefully I can stay nice and consistent with the way I’m playing and keep contributing. I don’t necessarily feel like I’ll ever own a spot in the team, but I feel blessed to have been given another opportunity and I’m just thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve got a really clear role that allows me to just be myself and hopefully, I can hang around for a little bit longer,” Marsh said.
