The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to introduce the Elite Corporate Cricket Bash (ECCB) in November, featuring the innovative 100-ball format. The new format, popularized in the UK, consists of 100 balls in each innings, with five-ball overs bowled by five different bowlers.

The ECCB, a collaborative effort between Petromann Sports Management, Sharjah Cricket Council, and Emirates Cricket Board, is set to feature 12 corporate-owned teams competing for an impressive prize pool of Dh1.3 million. The tournament will see over 10 action-packed days at the iconic Sharjah International Stadium, with 36 matches.
