'Unke cricket ka fan tha, ab unki commentary ka bhi' - Actor Gajraj Rao impressed with Irfan Pathan's IPL analysis

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan is currently seen spending time on his YouTube channel, giving his honest opinions on the matches going on around the world. He recently started his second innings after missing out on a commentary stint in the ongoing IPL 2025.  His growth on the platform has been superb, as his channel became among the fastest-growing channels for a cricketer, as it has reached almost 400K subscribers count within only a few weeks of launch. 

The regular viewers of his videos have already started liking the way he analyses the game, especially the IPL encounters. The same has also impressed veteran Bollywood actor Gajraj Rao. Known for critically-acclaimed movies like Badhaai Ho and hit TV shows like Dupahiya and Dabba Cartel, Rao expressed that he was a fan of Irfan Pathan during his active international days, and now he finds equal love for the cricketer's commentary as well.

“Irfan ke cricket ka fan tha, ab unki commentary ka bhi... Well done [I was a fan of Irfan's cricket, now I am a fan of his commentary too]!" Rao said, as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Irfan was quick to acknowledge the praise showered by the actor and replied to his comment, admiring the acting prowess of the 54-year-old. “Apki acting bhi to lajawab hai [Even your acting is outstanding],” he had replied.

Recently, cricketer-turned-commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu had also expressed that he misses commentating on the game alongside Irfan Pathan. On air during one of the IPL 2025 matches, Sidhu had expressed his desire to bring Pathan back to the commentary panel, so the duo can enjoy their stint together. Pathan, who won T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy as an India international, told that he too is equally eager to reunite with the former India opener and voice his opinions on the game together.
