Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma head to Rishikesh ahead of Test series against Australia

India cricketer Virat Kohli along with his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika have reached Rishikesh to pay a spiritual visit to the holy temple before the much anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Virat Kohli has been rested from the ongoing three-match T20I series against New Zealand.
The T20I series is tantalisingly poised at 1-1, with the final T20I to be played on February 1. After that, the all-important Border-Gavaskar series will commence, starting February 9, 2023. Virat Kohli will be seen in action in the Test series against Australia afresh. Before this trip, pictures of the cricketer and his wife Anushka Sharma's visit to Vrindavan surfaced online.
Virat Kohli included in Indian squad for first two Tests
The 34-year-old has been named in the Indian squad for the first two Tests of the upcoming Test series against Australia. The cricketer is prioritizing ODI and Test formats at the moment, with the World Cup and World Test Championship up for grab this year.
Kohli and Anushka visited Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh. Kohli, Anushka and Vamika are there along with his yoga trainer who has also stayed in the ashram. On Tuesday (January 31) morning, after yoga practice and worship, a public religious ritual will be organised in Ashram and Bhandara will also be arranged. Pictures of his visit to the Rishikesh temple surfaced online, mainly on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

The right-handed batter has been in superb form since 2022 Asia Cup as he has scored four tons - three in ODIs and one in T20Is. The Indian team would be banking on him the most against Australia in their upcoming tour to India.
