The Indian team had an arduous travel schedule after winning the T20 World Cup 2024. They landed in Delhi on July 4 and after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi they travelled to Mumbai on the same day. They were involved in the victory parade and the closing ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium carried out to the we hours. After finishing the ceremony, Virat Kohli took a flight to London late at night to be with his family.

Anushka Sharma is reportedly in London with their kids and Kohli rushed to the airport after the parade and flew to meet them. It is worth noting that, Anushka was present in the stadium during the Indian team's USA leg of the tournament. She did not join the team in the West Indies and later travelled to the UK with kids, Vaamika and Akaay. To put things in frame, Virat travelled 16 hours to reach Delhi, and flew to Mumbai followed by a restless day till midnight and flew to London, all in one day.

To be honest the patience bit I have learnt from Anushka: Kohli

The star India batter was going through a rough patch in the tournament accruing just 75 runs in seven games before the final. But he stepped up to the occasion when India needed it the most, scoring 76 runs off 59 balls and becoming the Man of the Match in the final against South Africa. After the game, he was reportedly seen video-calling his family from the ground. Virat has been vocal about the importance of Anushka in his life.

“To be honest the patience bit I have learnt ever since me and Anushka met each other. I was a very impatient before. The learnings from one another that we have had, looking at her personality, looking at her composure in situations has really inspired me to fight it out. Even when things are tough you have to swallow your ego and keep being there in adversity, keep fighting your way out and eventually you will find a way. So that’s what I have seen her do and I have learnt from that,” said Kohli back in 2022 as quoted by HT.
