Star India batter and former skipper Virat Kohli is usually known for his aggressive approach and childlike enthusiasm while on the field. He not only celebrates his own milestones but also shows sheer passion and emotion for his fellow teammates in their respective achievements.

Quite interestingly, while he was still a vice-captain of the Indian national cricket team, he was quite eager to learn the tricks of the trade, from one of his best friends and his "forever leader" MS Dhoni. Even then, Kohli never shied away from keeping his thinking cap on and always making moves on the field. Such was his camaraderie with the former world champion captain that he never held himself back from suggesting field placements along with plotting strategies to get the opponents out.

What is more incredible is the fact that Dhoni knew the future leadership asset that Kohli could become and always allowed his players to have a say despite pulling the strings on the field with his trademark calm demeanour.

Notably, the Almora-born legend had sensed that Team India were going through a period of transition and needed a new leader with time. Hence he took Kohli under his shadow and helped him evolve as a future captain as time passed by. Now in the latest revelation from the legendary number 18, Virat Kohli, the veteran hilariously admitted during an RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) event that the way he suggested field placements and beyond may have made him look like a 'crazy' lad in the eyes of MS Dhoni.

"When I was the vice-captain of India, I was always in MSD’s ears, suggesting field placements—telling him, ‘We can have a fielder here or there.’ He must have thought I was crazy!" Kohli said during the RCB Innovation Lab's Indian sports summit.

I actually don't know what I will be doing post-retirement: Kohli

Furthermore, during the same event, Virat Kohli was asked about his plans for his post-retirement days. To this, the Indian stalwart replied that he was still figuring it out and was yet to chalk out a plan ahead. Moreover, he also revealed that he actually ended up discussing with one of his teammates but both of them ended up having no concrete plans for the future beyond international cricket. However, he did not shy away from admitting his love for travelling across the globe.

"I actually don't know what I will be doing post-retirement. Recently, I asked a teammate the same question and got the same reply. Yeah, but maybe a lot of travelling," Kohli concluded.

Meanwhile, the star batter landed in Bengaluru on Saturday (March 15) to link up with his IPL franchise as the 2025 edition of the T20 cricket carnival is set to begin on March 22.
