Star India batter Virat Kohli is spending time with his family having withdrawn from the entire ongoing India vs England Test series. The former India captain recently welcomed his second child ‘Akaay’ on February 15 with Bollywood actor wife Anushka Sharma. According to reports, Kohli is currently in England and was also recently spotted with daughter Vamika at a restaurant.

An image of the India cricketer with his daughter has been going viral on social media where he can seen spending quality time with his firstborn. In the viral image, the 35-year-old can be seen wearing a cap while Vamika is also spotted wearing a sweater to keep herself warm in the London winter as the father-daughter duo enjoy their meal.

Ever since the birth of his daughter in January 2021, Kohli has prioritized his family and taken regular breaks to spend time with his loved ones. He skipped the last three Tests of the four-match series against Australia in 2020-21 to return home for the birth of Vamika. The Delhi-born cricketer further skipped the ongoing series against England to be with his family during the birth of his baby boy.

Despite being on the sidelines, Kohli congratulated the team for the series after they took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series with a five-wicket win in Ranchi. The former captain lauded the youngsters for their grit and determination in the absence of several senior players.

“YES!!! Phenomenal series win by our young team. Showed grit, determination and resilience. @BCCI,” wrote Kohli on his X account.

India chase down 192 to win the series 3-1

Notably, India were set a target of 192 in the fourth innings to seal the series and were 40/0 at stumps on Day 3. Openers Rohit Sharma (55 off 81) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (37 off 44) got their team off to a great start adding 84 runs for the first wicket. However, after a good start, India succumbed to 120/5 needing another 72 runs to win.
