Virat Kohli’s jersey in high demand ahead of India’s clash against South Africa at Eden Gardens

As the Indian team takes on the challenge of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, the thousands of spectators are often seen chanting the name of Kohli whenever he is on strike, and the same love for Kohli has been evident with regard to his jersey sales as well.
As India gears up for their clash against South Africa, it is worth noting that both sides will face each other in the 37th game of the tournament at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, November 5, and according to the various shop owners at the Maiden Market in Kolkata, the jersey sales of Virat Kohli have skyrocketed.
"The demand for jerseys has been very high this year, and a majority of them are asking for jersey 18. I have replaced jerseys with the names and numbers of other players with those of Kohli. Currently, I have around 1,500 such jerseys, and I am confident of selling them all by Sunday afternoon," a shop owner at the Maidan market was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
Furthermore, apart from Maidan Market, the jersey sales in the official Adidas stores have been very high as well. The silk screen operators have also stated that the demand has been high for Kohli’s name and number on the jerseys.
India looks to continue its unbeaten run
Speaking of India’s performances at the ODI World Cup 2023, the side has showcased brilliant cricketing action in the tournament so far. Having played six games in the competition so far, India has registered brilliant wins in every clash. For their next clash, they will be taking on Sri Lanka in the 33rd game of the tournament on Thursday, November 2.
